The RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) technology has an important role to play in helping your patients to maintain healthy teeth.

RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) has been shown in animal and human in-situ studies to enhance the remineralizing effects of fluoride¹ - not surprising, since fluoride requires a good source of calcium and phosphate for remineralization of tooth enamel with the more acid-resistant fluorapatite, and RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) provides this in an amorphous, soluble form.

Chewing a sugarless gum containing RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP), or applying GC Tooth Mousse (also known as Prospec MI Paste in the Americas) immediately after brushing with a fluoride toothpaste, or even after administration of fluoride by a dental professional, will enhance the remineralization activity of the fluoride.

At present, RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) is available in sugarless gums and GC Tooth Mousse/Prospec MI Paste. However other products are under development - both for consumer and professional use - for possible launch in the near future.
